A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure in photographing Amber and Warren's wedding day, and staying overnight on a gorgeous island in the Bay of Islands. They had requested lots of fun and laughter shots, and not too posed. Well I managed to sneek in a couple of posed shots, but the rest of their day was spent surrounded by loads of laughter (and this was just the bridal party!). They are a very lucky couple to have such fun supportive friends and siblings to always lift them up.
I had a few problems trying to photograph the speaches during the reception....... I learnt that it is very difficult to create sharp focused images when you are laughing so much! This wedding is one that I will definitely never forget :)
The following day we decided to do a 'Trash the Dress' session, although we had no intention of actually ruining Amber's beautiful gown (but Warren did suggest a possibilty of tackling his new bride in the water????). These shoots are a great idea because they are a lot calmer and relaxed without the time pressures of the wedding day, which leads to more romantic style images.
