"As a qualified Midwife I have a particular passion for photographing maternity/ pregnancy and newborns.

I love capturing those special times in people's lives that mean so much - from engagement shoots to weddings, the nervous expectation of maternity to the sheer delight and love of a newborn. And then having the pleasure to capture the personalities and changes as a child grows".

Whangarei Newborn Photographer - Little Miss O

I was supposed to photograph this sweet little lady while she was still inside her mummy's tummy. But in the early morning of our shoot, at 39 weeks, she decided she wasn't going to wait any longer. So our photo session had to be postponed. I finally had the privilege of meeting her at 12 days old. Unfortunately other issues came along a little earlier than anticipated too, such as the newborn hormone rash and a growth spurt. Little Miss O wasn't too keen having her feed time interrupted....... unfortunately her feed time was lasting all day, non-stop. We eventually managed to rock her to sleep for a few quick snaps. But then it was feed time again!

Whangarei Photographer - Precious

Last Sunday I had the pleasure documenting the final countdown to the arrival of a very precious bundle. I love the excitement and anticipation that those final weeks bring. This couple had two fabulous dogs, one of which I managed to include in our shoot. It was obvious they were a very important part of this family. Thank you for inviting me into your home. Here is a quick peek of your images.

Below we included a special toy.... made by this bub's grandmother. I thought it was fabulous, and love the bright colour!

Whangarei Children's Photographer - Two Tiny Treasures

These two wee men were just divine..... and I mean wee. Born less than 5 lbs, they were still tiny when I got to photograph them. They have such lovely laid back personalities. Usually such tiny littles bundles are very sleepy and easy to manipute, but they both had other plans. They knew something was up, and they were determined to stay awake for their visitor. So no sleeping baby shots today. But that didn't matter as they were such co-operative little gentlemen.
And little 2yr old Miss L did not disappoint! She was very entertaining....... not at all interested in sitting on my beanbag, she had a blast jumping on it. Check out her stunning big blue eyes!

Whangarei Photographer - A not-so-wet rainy day

I was asked by a friend to come over and photograph an extended family group at her place - parents, 5 siblings and all their children. This made for a pretty big group of young children to try to keep occupied and organised. Initially it looked like the weather would be our undoing, but we decided to risk it. We were lucky to be blessed with a good hour of no rain and good light. Not to mention a stunning location and the kids totally out-done themselves - I have never photographed such willing and co-operative children. I had a blast! Here is a sneek peek of your images.

Whangarei Portrait Photographer - Family

This was a fairly impromptu photo session. The first time we had all the cousins together in a while, with their Pop about to be whisked off to the USA for a few months.
The light was a fantastic golden glow.

The two eldest girls. Alanah (15yrs) and Monique (almost 17yrs).

Triple Trouble! Cameron with one of his favourite chooks.

Pop and his grandkids.
