"As a qualified Midwife I have a particular passion for photographing maternity/ pregnancy and newborns.

I love capturing those special times in people's lives that mean so much - from engagement shoots to weddings, the nervous expectation of maternity to the sheer delight and love of a newborn. And then having the pleasure to capture the personalities and changes as a child grows".

Whangarei Photographer - Little Bundle of Joy

This couple I met while I was teaching Childbirth Education, in fact they were in my very last class (I have handed over the reins to a very gifted midwife friend as I have become a little too busy photographing). They were a fabulous couple and up for any ideas that I suggested. We had a great time documenting the final stage of their pregnancy, and a lot of laughs.

Since these photos were taken their precious little lady decided to make her entrance before I got their images back to them (so I was lucky enough to meet her...... she was gorgeous, with a whole lot of dark hair!) Congratulations.

Busy times.

It has been so long since I've published a post it is shameful! But I have been busy photographing at local Kindergartens, offering reasonably priced packages for these little angels. I decided a long time ago not to publish any children that I photograph through the kindergartens, unless given expressed permission by their parents.

I was also requested to photograph Cross Country racing at my son's school. So here are some images of him from that day ........ the pouring rain made focusing a little tricky.

Holiday Fun

Wow...... don't kids grow up fast! The last time I saw this family together was when we took our children to the same playcentre. I can hardly believe so much time has passed.

What a fabulous family. These guys were just so easy to photograph. All I had to do was ask them to sit or stand in a certain place, and hey presto..... I didn't need to alter a thing! (Even their dog played his part well). And their property was a paradise to photograph, from the lake to the native bush. Thank you for asking me to be your photographer.

My Crew

I spend so much time photographing other peoples' children that I turn around and find that my children are growing up so fast. So for Easter Friday we went for a day trip to the family beach bach, and for once I made sure I had packed my camera :) What a gorgeous day! The water was warm, the sun was out, and there was just a slight breeze to stop anyone who wasn't swimming from overheating. And even though I had to drag two of my kids from the water for photos, they were perfect models!

My beautiful Alanah - only 14 years old and already a stunning model, graceful and oh so wonderfully
relaxed in front of the camera. Just watching her makes me smile. Such an easy-going, happy and yet determined personality, it is a real joy to watch her turning into such an elegant young lady.

Keegan is dynamite. All of 12 years old and up for any challenge, especially if it involves sport or anything physical. I'm very proud of how he is growing into such a great person, and his sense of humour sometimes just floors me. Such a lovely kid! And I love the crooked smile that he sometimes gives me :)

Little Miss 9 years old, my darling delightful Cailyn. Oh boy, does she make me laugh! Always on the go, not to be out-done by her brother. And did I mention creative? She is such a delight to have around, always thinking of others and what she can make for them.
